The World Press Cycling Championships are open to all who holds a press card or similar of a country, an organization, a company or a medium. The project management can furthermore allow participation to media people and alike without a press card upon prior application.

• Contestants participate as individuals, but represent at the same time their respective nations. 
• The races will be held under the UCI regulations.
• Each rider confirms healthiness and ability to participate in these events. A daily license is not necessary.
• Participation is on the participants own full risk.
• Registration is binding.
• Participants arrange their own travel and stay and cover their own expenses.

The WPCC are held in a competitive but friendly atmosphere. 
 
The organization encourages the use of national jerseys / cycling outfit, but also points out that this is not mandatory.

• L’Etape Denmark by Tour de France – 50 km – no competition 
• Sprint (during L’Etape Denmark by Tour de France) – approx. 200 meter
